Milwaukee Trip

This past weekend Naomi had her first big adventure - a trip to Milwaukee for a friend's wedding.  The trip was particularly special because we were able to introduce Naomi to some of her family for the first time.

Naomi's Aunt Jenee and Uncle Jason came to Milwaukee with us and stayed with her while we went to wedding events.  Then, on the way back to O'hare we were able to stop and spend a few hours with Josh's side of the family: Uncle Greg, Aunt Roberta, and Paul; Nonnie; Aunt Lauren and Uncle Michael; Jessica, Peter, Daryn and Asher Kaplan; Marci, Shelby and Cassie Kaplan; Jake, Zach and little Frankie.  It was neat to have all of Nonnie's great-grandchildren together in one place.

Happy Sauce

Being a parent is great.  It's also really hard sometimes.  Actually, it's hard a lot of the time.  And it's really easy to articulate what is hard and why it is hard.

It's much harder to describe what is so great about it.  I think the look on Jenny's face here does a pretty good job of it.  I love this picture.
